The 2015 edition of the Festival of the urban music of Anoumabo, started on April 21, ended in beauty on Sunday last by a big show of Fally Ipupa, at the sports complex of Kumasi.
Africa has vibrated to the cadence and rhythm of the Femua, 6 days. Major annual event now, the FEMUA has become, over the years, the crossroads of meetings, a cultural event of international dimension.
And thanks to the willingness and professionalism of four brave son of this modest neighborhood of Abidjan: Anoumabo. Asalfo, Commissioner general of this festival and goodwill Ambassador of Unesco, with his family, managed to impose their project and get it passed to the 4 corners of the continent. Evidenced by, each year, the hearing and the enthusiasm generated around this festival was born seven years ago (in 2008).
As for every edition, the Femua was once again, a great opportunity for all those people who do not often have the chance to give it a ticket concert, come discover or rediscover international artists.
The poster of these free shows, this year of big names there. Among other things, Zaho (France), Meta and the Cornerstones (USA), Freshlyground (South Africa), Fally Ipupa (DRC), Bracket (Nigeria), Philip Monteiro (Cape Verde), Habib Koïté (Mali), Smarty (BF), Bailly Spinto (CI), Antoinette Konan (CI) and Zouglou Makers (CI).
For four days, the public has been spoiled with lavish shows. Anoumabo, Kumasi and the Plateau (French Institute).
Festivalgoers who swept thousands to each show lived unpublished moments of pleasure and joy. It was total excitement, both in Anoumabo to Kumasi. Public who would not be telling the party, came en masse, he sang, shouted and danced with artists. Across all the shows went so smoothly.
In addition to the festivities, the Femua was marked by social actions. We know that the festival, which already has to his credit several achievements including the rehabilitation and equipment of hospitals as well as the construction of schools (primary and kindergarten to Anoumabo).
This year again, the children of Anoumabo gave the smile to their fellow citizens. With an another major social project: the construction of a school of 6 classes in the West of Ivory Coast (Bangolo), region affected by the recent post-election crisis.
Femua 2015, it was also a recreational moment, a moment of leisure through sport. Including a popular cross with more than 6,000 participants on a journey Marcory and Koumassi. But also the traditional walk lagoon with foreign delegations. Not to mention the great Maracana for the 15 nations tournament with ECOWAS, including the final trophy opposed the CI to the Gambia. A meeting resulted in a victory of the Ivorians. The innovation this year was the science through workshops, debates, seminars. The idea is to make this festival a platform for exchanges between artists, media, specialists in culture and festival-goers. A meeting which, unfortunately has brought forth a mouse, because not having known the expected success.
Sunday 26 April night in elation, the shouts are so silent on the 2015 edition of the Festival of the urban music of Anoumabo placed under the sign of the « Integration and rapprochement of the peoples » and sponsored by Mr. Désiré Kadré Ouédraogo, President the ECOWAS Commission.
