The Festival

The Festival

An immense and evolving project, FEMUA was created in 2008 at the initiative of Mr TRAORE Salif lead vocal of the MAGIC SYSTEM group and Commissioner General of the festival.
This event, with a social and cultural character, was created to enable the most deprived populations who often do not have the means to afford a concert ticket, to realize their dreams by receiving on the same stage in their environment the most Big stars of the planet. The FEMUA, which is defined as one of the biggest festivals in sub-Saharan Africa, is held every year in a cosmopolitan city. Its artistic programming symbolizes integration. It is also the testimony of a recognition of the members of the Magic System group in the neighborhood that saw them born and allow through this festival to put up social actions for the benefit of Ivorian and African populations.
Moreover, the FEMUA is a factor of development by its social actions.
Since its creation to date, we can note the rehabilitation and equipment of hospitals, orphanages,
Nurseries, donations to refugees and the construction of three schools, including two primary schools and one kindergarten, offered to Côte d'Ivoire. The fourth school is being built in the town of Séguéla. Ultimately, the FEMUA has become an institution by the will of various moral and physical persons who believe that the culture for Côte d'Ivoire and Africa has a power of emotional exchanges without limit. This event is a platform for exchanges between artists, festival-goers and the press. All the projectors and lanterns that are lit during the festival make FEMUA an international festival.
The unanimous enthusiasm expressed both by the festival-goers and by the numerous actors of the FEMUA allows him to evolve.
ANOUMABO is the venue for the festival, thanks to the recognition of the MAGIC SYSTEM group in this village.
In addition to this recognition ANOUMABO has certain assets: its capacity of reception, the originality, the hospitality of its inhabitants and its authorities (the chief and its notability) as well as security. Gourmet side, ANOUMABO is also the capital of the attiéké. Located on the main street of the village, the FEMUA site is initially a symbol for the MAGIC SYSTEM group, and has a whole history. The space reserved for the logos of the festival partners (Kampala) was once the headquarters of the group. All "contracts" were signed. During the days of the festival this small village of 68,000 souls becomes a veritable crossroads of cultural mixing. Urban space, ANOUMABO has become a hub over time.
The beauty of the site and its capacity of reception are all assets that make the FEMUA a rendezvous conducive to human and artistic encounters. Its gastronomic village created occasionally makes live unforgettable moments.
